There was definitely interest so we’re gonna try out this round based thing.
Following the rough sketch of the Fantasy tournament, this is what we’re looking at:
Where: Game Parlor Chantilly
When: Still tentative. Currently looking at the 10th of September
Cost: $10
Setup: 11AM
Game 1: 11:30 -1:45
Lunch: 1:45 - 2:15
Game 2: 2:15 - 4:30
Game 3: 4:45 - 7:00
Army Construction
• 1750 points.
• Any army currently in print by GW
• No FW units.
• Special Characters are allowed.
Scenarios
• Still TBD. Please weigh in on if you want them ahead of time or the day of. Based on my overall feel of a consensus, I’ll either release them two weeks ahead of time or not at all.
• We will attempt to make terrain even across all tables. Please bring mats and terrain. At the worst, you can leave it in your car.
Organization
• If 8 or less players attend, 50% of the fees will go to the best general, 50% to a player's choice-based best appearance award. If more than 8 players attend, 33% of the fees will go to each of the undefeated player and 33% going to the best appearance.
• No painting requirement.
• Not restricted to CGL.

As long as you can make it absolutely clear and the sizes are relatively close, I have no problem with non-GW stuff. _________________ Just call me Mike.

Does anyone have a preference for open or closed missions? _________________ Just call me Mike.

I perfer closed. for 2 reasons.
1) when I read a mission I have no idea what the hell it means
2) It's no fun losing in 1 turn to someone who has their list taylored to the missions. _________________ I lose cause I can |

I like some context, at least. "Hey, expect some objectives and Kill Points." is sufficient. _________________ Rush - Warpstone Pile

I would be happy just playing the first three missions from NOVA or some other tournament.
I'm usually in favor of missions being posted in advance and I think they should represent a good mixture of missions. |

As far as missions go, I'd rather not know the exact missions ahead of time, just something general like "kill points" or what have you. |

OK, well we have about 2.5 weeks until kickoff. Here's the skinny:
"Expect objectives and killpoints"
They will determine primary win conditions, though there may be a wrinkle or two compared to the main book.
Secondary win conditions will be a little more creative, but nothing too crazy.
There will be additonal tie breakers, so based on current sign-ups, the winner will have to go undefeated. _________________ Just call me Mike.
