Is this place big enough to hold an event in? Is there adequate and easy parking? I wonder if they would offer prize support for a big event?

It's not a large place, not enough space for an event sadly.

They do have access to a much larger space, and have talked with me about wanting to do larger events.

Watched a couple of games between our guys today,

HE Cory vs TK Cody - TK win!

TK Phil vs OG Eric - OG win!

The store looks large enough for up to 5 games if the tables were put in place. Not a large selection of stuff but you can special order. I like it for a Sunday game and if it gets guys playing that cannot on Saturdays then great. Parking is easy especially on Sundays with reserved parking behind the place and public parking right next to that.

(Ah ninja posted by Harry, see above) Just finished a great game against Phil's tomb king about 30 minutes ago. The store was extremely accommodating and allowed us to move tables around even set up more tables if necessary.

Apparently they may also be getting an additional 1500 sq. ft of adjacent retail space. It is a very nice, friendly and clean place to play. I had a great time and definitely will be looking for more games here on future Sundays.

Cheers!

that is a classic picture of the brothers Corey and Cody.

I see the caption above Cody's head.

'if you move another elf unit 11" on a march I will punch you in the nose'

They are planning on running open gaming for Warhammer on Sundays (Casey and I voted for Sundays).

We live right on the same road as it, so it's pretty convenient!

So I just happen to be looking at the calendar for Comics and Games in Fairfax to see if they still had open gaming on Sunday, and it looks as if they may have shifted their calendar around. It now looks like they have tabletop gaming on Saturday and MTG on Sunday. Bummer....

I can't make it out to GPC this Saturday so I was hoping to maybe get a pick up game on at C&G on Sunday. I haven't called over to confirm whether they have indeed moved things around, but if so, it looks like we no longer have them as an option for Sunday gaming.

If we can play I'll take you on Eric.

Ok, so looks like a false alarm (or I may have simply lost all reading comprehension for a brief period).

Regardless, looks like Warhammer is still on Sundays. I think what I might have seen was next Sunday (July 14th), there will be no Warhammer because of a MTG tournament taking place that day.

I suspect I misunderstood the original announcement... Yup, I'll go with that! Smile

Harry, I'll see you there Sunday at 12:30PM.

p.s. -- looks like a sale on Warhammer through Sunday (20%) http://www.cgoffx.com/home.html
