Where do you guys think you will gravitate to? Huzzah seems like a logical conclusion, but there would have to be schedule changes (Tuesday nights are booked and always busy).
Between the AoS debacle and GPC closing, I would hate to see the group just up and die. I mean, I would like to get in a game or two over the next decade... _________________ Tone on the internet can be a bitch. Honest, I am not Nerd Raging. Well, maybe not. |

Huzzah is actually a tad bit closer for me so that does work.
As far as changing days, Tuesdays and Thursdays are the only open days for me during the week. Occasionally a Saturday will open up as well. _________________ Joey

So I know Huzzah does 40k on Friday nights. THe past few weeks its been a little bit slow so a few tables have been open.
Other days I'm not sure how it looks like. _________________ My Blog |

Tuesdays are booked solid.
Thursdays are hit and miss but usually fairly busy. There are usually a table or two open at least.
Those are the only two I know for sure. _________________ Tone on the internet can be a bitch. Honest, I am not Nerd Raging. Well, maybe not. |

Your Hobby Place is within reason for me with as little as I get out anymore. Events there would be really enjoyable and doable. Geek Life just opened in Culpeper and they have gaming space. Most of the Culpeper Warhammer group goes there now, tho they are playing different systems. I'll go to Huzzah if that's where everybody goes for pick up games. _________________ Thanks,

Somebody posted something about The Island Games in Centerville? That would probably be closer for me. I dunno, we'll see. i don't get out that much between grad school and work and the kiddo right now anyway.

I spoke to Dave at YHP and he is more than willing to accommodate Tuesday nights. His store hours are until 8pm but the back is open until at least 10pm, sometimes longer. He really would like to see more Warhammer players as you saw we are on life support in that regard! And you know Dave has tons of space and terrain. You guys would not have to bring your own terrain all the time and he has storage lockers you can rent and also likely store your terrain in a locked room as well, separate from the store. And in the summer of course there are pool parties at Da Kaptain's place, only 5 minutes from the shop!
He also will work with folks to schedule events and such. He asked me to go ahead and be go between if that works. Just wanted to throw this as an option for you guys. Please don't let the lack of locals at MM turn you off, many of those folks have what we call WV families (read as 5.5 kids) and cannot take both days of the weekend off! Plus not many of them even knew what 9th Edition was! We need more Warhammer blood up here.
Cant believe GPC is closing, I started there with the IFL waaaaaaaay back in the day. Very sad to see.

The store is large, clean, and well stocked. Dave (the owner for those that have not been there) was very accommodating to us running Mountain Mayhem, he even opened several hours early for us on Saturday and Sunday. All this when not a single player from his store was involved in the tournament. I would encourage anyone in the area to go by and see the place.
I would love to take you up on that offer Kaptain, but its a 90 minute drive each way from our area.
You could be seeing us run a few tourneys there on weekends though. |

I was impressed by the WV store, but completely unimpressed by the local attendance. |

I will just throw out there as a suggestion, that Fairfax Comic and Gaming is a possible transplant for your group. It used to be a small comic shop but they took over the shop next door knocked down a wall and put a bunch of card tables in for playing space. The Wednesday night is already booked with RPGs on comic book side and Warmachine and Hordes on the table side but Tuesday's may be open for GW activities. They don't have as robust a stock supply as Parlor had but they do have some product and are always more then willing to do orders if you need something. They don't have any table fees and do have snacks and sodas on hand (not to mention a Deli shop next door if your really hungry)
The store is in down town Fairfax (about 15 min further west on 50 from Game Parlor) right next to GMU whihc might offer you recruitment of new players who can walk to the location from campus.
Just another option. |

Is that the place right in old town? It's a nice place although parking in that area can be problematic. There are LOTS of nice restaurants around there, including an Irish pub. I was in there several months ago and the store was clean and well put together. I don't recall the second room, but I'm glad they expanded.

Huzzah is reasonably close to my house, so that's where I'll be going. _________________ Nassir Ahmad

I've played twice at Comics and Gaming in Fairfax. Hit me up if anyone wants to get a game in an try the place out. It is, as stated above, clean and organized with good gaming space and excellent location. With respect to the parking, I've never had an issue. There's a large, free parking garage in the plaza. _________________ Slay the Warlord! |

I've been going to Huzzah for a bit, now. It's non-negligibly further for me, but worth it. _________________ Rush - Warpstone Pile
