I've had a few ideas that I thought I throw out to see if anybody was interested. Anybody trying to come over for

1.) A painting, modeling, bsing night.

2.) Risk

3.) WOW board game (played it once, it's ludicrous)

4.) MTG (I've got plenty of decks)

Just wondering....

+1 on everything except WoW which i havent tried...

I also have Diplomacy if we can get 8 people willing to spend the foreseeable day playing it.

Awesome to hear people are interested.

Firstly, lets always assume that if we are talking about my place, we are talking about beer, and while supplies last, imported rum from Barbados.

1. Which nights work well for you guys? Saturday night is perfect for me, but I'm open to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays as well.

2. Why not start with a board game. I love Risk, but have never played Settlers. Show of hand folks, which do you prefer?

3. If a tree falls in the forest, and only a woman is there to hear it, why wasn't she in the kitchen?

Im game. Let me see about someone covering my shift. Fridays are surprisingly dead at work.

It'd be very cool if this could become a regular every-Friday gaming night, hosted on a rotating basis. I've got a small pile of board games that have still not come out of the cellophane and would be excite to host every so often.

I wouldn't mind a bit if poker found its way into the mix every so often, either.

Who would be interested in trying to play every week (or every other week)? Who would be willing to host every once in a while? Who is outside the beltway and who is inside?

So who's trying to come over Friday? I was thinking we could shoot for around 8 or 9. Trying to get a loose head count. I've heard from 2 so far.

Also, I must offer this confession, I spent my beer money at Karokee this week..... Please don't judge me, but I am sorry I'll not be able to buy beer for the evening.

It's looking like Risk, because I have not heard from Keith. If you come, I will swear a solemn vow to spell your name correctly.

At the moment you are the 3rd to confirm. Risk can be played with 4 people, but I had hope for a few more. Is anybody else trying to come? Otherwise I may just put the whole thing off and work on some models, you'd still be welcome over if it works out that way.

Please let me know tonight, so I can let people know if we're on or not.

Ive got CFTC to cram paint for tommorrow if nothing else...

Not being home is a plus for that... Considering the 'rents are in a moody phase...

If the gaming isnt in, my attendance will likely falter however.. I love me my board games.
