Somehow I didn't realize how bad things were, but today I went to GPC for the first time in.... awhile. There Warhammer stock was pathetic, most of what they had was old as hell too.

Last night I was going to put my money where my mouth is and buy a Sphinx and a few other of the new TK items. They actually had very little TK items, the new battalion box for a cheap $120.00 but not much else...I did end up buying some paint and a DE blister but their lack of inventory is going to kill them.

Hey guys, I'm doing my part by buying some of their old stock and putting it up on eBay for a profit. Maybe that money can be used for some Grey Knights / Tomb Kings / MtG ?

I think their problem is an unwillingness to get rid of all the crap on their shelves that doesn't move. Rob has long been dedicated to his "store with every type of game" concept for a long time, as I understand it. But that business model doesn't seem to work. There are tons and tons of random board games on the shelves that just seem to sit there, collecting dust. They need to focus on what their customers really want to buy. From what I've seen, that appears to be: WHFB, 40K, Flames of War, and Magic.

The Game Vault seems to have a much better handle on what actually sells. I've only been there a few times, but what I've seen is a store with only about half the floorspace as Game Parlor, but roughly two or three times as much WHFB, 40K, and Flames of War products. I don't know why Game Parlor isn't doing that.

Sadly, no. 16-bit cartridges might still make a comeback, but 8-bit has gone the way of leg warmers and men with perms.

There are places in Eastern Europe and Russia that leg warmers and perms (and mullets) are the rage.... I kid thee not.

So I'm saying there is hope! Wink
