Thoughts on fees? My inclination runs towards $10/person. Where we're at, that'd be $50/prize. Open to cheaping it out, though. |
I'm good with $10/person. |

As a 40K player, I'm fundamentally incapable of understanding square-basers' loathing for models that come with names... but I grokk that Teclis isn't so much a high elf as he is a bag of dicks.
So:
A) No special characters or
B) Special characters except for ([insert list here]) _________________ Rush - Warpstone Pile

How about Hero level special characters? Or special characters only up to a certain point level?
I'm not bringing one myself, but since I also play WoC, I know the Troll King likes to make an appearance and that would be nigh impossible without a special character.
Just my .02 kroner.

i agree with hero level special characters, granted I have a personal interest so I can bring Snagala Gobspit.
But it would ban the stupid ones. _________________ I lose cause I can |

I'm down for a $10 buy in.
As far as special characters go, I am for all or none. _________________ Just call me Mike.

I don't mind most special characters but Tecilis, Thorek, and Kairos need to be out.

I'm with Keith on this one. There are a few other bad ones, but I these are the ones that ruin the game. _________________ Gun control is leaving your demonsmith engineers close enough to re-roll the scatter on your artillery. |

Thank you...the Masque is just stupid, too!
Though I'm of a mind for no special/named characters at all.

Id say approval for special characters should be required.
Masque, Kairos, Thorek, Teclis should be banned off hand,
Others for the most part arent so bad...
I also think we should ban Power Scroll, Book of Hoeth at least, possibly World Dragon/Drakenhoff and things of that nature.
That part of it i think only needs banning off hand is Hoeth, Scroll, and the super scroll from Tomb Kings. _________________ Kevin C

I'd had a comment about how, if we were feeling sassy, we could make it a Storm of Magic tournament. There was a sufficient anti-sass sentiment, however.

I won't ban Power Scroll. "Ban Power Scroll," is basically shorthand for, "I want my Dwellers/Gateway/Purple Sun to go off, but I'll be goddamned if Dreaded 13th is allowed to." _________________ Rush - Warpstone Pile

Since it was mentioned to me, and I'm on board: lists will be open.
If you've got something like an Assassin or whatever, those rules will obviously be in effect*... but otherwise be prepared to show your opponent your full list and answer any questions about equipment at the beginning of and throughout the game.
If you've got a question about a specific item that affects what's revealed to your opponent (like the old Skaven Ring of Darkness), ask away. RAW will almost certainly be self-evident, however. (In the case of the old Ring of Darkness, you'd reveal that you have a Ring of Darkness in the unit... and be able to keep that Sword of Striking secret.) _________________ Rush - Warpstone Pile

Pit of shades: cast on a 17+ for a large template initiative test that scatters 2d6", ask Phil how that works out.
Dwellers below: Goes off on a 21+ for 24" range strength test.
Purple sun: Goes off on a 25+ for a large blast template initiative test that can quite possibly hurt yourself.
Dreaded 13th: Cast on a 25+ for 0 chance at hurting yourself, 0 chance at being ineffective, and 100% chance of causing 4d6 automatic deaths, with the possibilty of getting a new unit outfitted however you want.
What's the problem with the casting values here?
