Greetings all you Colonians,

I would first like to say that I wish all of you and your families a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Here are few updates on the Colonial GT for 2013:

-There is a 40k Qualifier on January 12th at Maplewood Hobby, the main link we are using for this event can be found here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/494628.page

- There will be a Warmachine Qualifier at Outside the Box Games on January 19th. I don’t have a link as of yet, but it will be 50pts, up to two lists, Divide and Concur, Character Restrictions, $10.00 entry fee, 36 slots, Timed Turns, 10:00am registration, 11:00am Game Time. Prizes are 1-3 place, Best Painted Army, Fastest Castor Kill, Iron Man, and Smoking Boots. Players who play in the event will also receive a 10% off all products in the store. Entry fees will be bolstering the prize support. The Overall Winner of the event will receive a Weekend Pass to the Colonial GT in March. The address for Outside the Box Games: 2120 Voorhees Town Center, Voorhess NJ #856-685-7456. Armies for this event don’t have to be painted. If the SR2013 Rules are Official, the store will be using them.

-WHFB will begin Qualifiers in February. I am working out dates with stores to run them.

I will be putting up a Living Rule Packet for the 2013 year. This means I will be adding additional dates, links, and rules up for you when I become more concrete in my planning. I am currently awaiting the fiscal cliff to end so I can lock in the dates for this year. The packet will give you the baseline on what to expect in the future so you can prepare it. According the the Colonial Website and updated rules packet...

The 40K GT is in March and the Fantasy is in November of 2013. That one, I can make. Very Happy

It was originally a Fantasy only event, and now we're getting the boot to a holiday season!? On the upside, it doesn't interfere with my wedding now!

The timing works out so that I might be able to do both Colonials and NOVA this year. Maybe Mechanicon as well.

You guys could all paint up some spaces marines on some round bases and play some 40k. It's a great game these days.

Greetings all you Colonians,

We have struck a deal at the closest hotel in the area, and they have agreed to allow us to get special rates to stay there even without having the event in the space this year. This hotel has spent over 4 million dollars in renovations, and it looks really good. Please try to make reservations as soon as you can so we can all receive the $97.00 a night rate, we need 27 room taken up out of the 30 we have blocked. if we need more rooms, they will work with us on that. no worries!

Greetings all you Colonians,

-Hey guys, the event is right around the corner, and a reminder about the chance of making the Colonial a sanctioned event, we need a certain number of players for Warmachine.. so make sure you prepay as soon as you can.

-Also remember that the cutoff for the hotel deal is the 15th. $97.00 a night for doubles and singles.

-The Painting classes are now up for prepay if you want to attend those, or know someone who could be interested. The instructors are Greg Zuniga and Zach Lanier. Both have either ReaperCon or GenCon teaching experience, Zach has also won over 10 Golden Daemons, and Greg has won various painting awards at events.

-Also, there is a participant’s page that records all the players that have prepaid on the web site. I add these on manually, here is the link: http://www.thecolonialgt.com/participants.htm If players would like me to add their club name, please make sure you tell me either by your paypal instructions, or by letting me know by email of FB.

-WHFB players, many of you will be please to know that this year Fantasy Colonial's date will be moved to the first weekend in November! I will be changing the packet to reflect this change soon.

-The payment due date and army list submission date for the Colonial in March is now on February 24th. The packet will also reflect these changes.
