Warhammer Fantasy Battle Tournament
Oct 12th
Reg 10:00, Dice start rolling 10:30
2000pts
$15 entry includes prizes for top three finishers and players choice best painted army.
3, 2.5 hour rounds.
No special characters
All Armies must be fully painted
Half victory points for units reduced to 25% or below.
Instant kill spells do d3 wounds to characters. Multi-wound monsters, monstrous infantry; monstrous cavalry suffer death as normal.
Round one will be the watchtower scenario. The watchtower is limited to units of 10 or less infantry, 3 or less monstrous infantry. Round two will be meeting engagement with no reserves. Round 3 will be a pitched battle.
Current FAQ’s will be used. Bring a copy of your army list for the TO, preferably in Army Builder or Quartermaster format.
Forgeworld Chaos Dwarfs are allowed but you MUST bring the army book.
Open list

and no special characters should be interesting, you really have to think what to take at 2000

Well, hopefully it will be fun for those who choose to go. Fully painted + that many house rules + open lists (no allowances for hidden stuff makes me sad as the game is written that way) just seems meh.
The special character restriction seems dumb as the abusive ones are mostly gone or prohibitively expensive points wise.

Yea I agree with closed lists. Fantasy is meant to have fun surprises.

Well, hopefully they will make allowances for fanatics and assassins (which no one hardly ever takes any more) and other things that need to be hidden in order to function properly.

Open lists and hidden things like Assassins are not mutually exclusive.

Yeah, but they didn't mention that. Like I said, hopefully they make allowances, and the lack of info doesn't keep someone from fielding them.

I've only been to a single 40k tournament up there, but that ended 6-7pm. I would give the store a call and ask them though (703) 466-0460.
