Sorry for the late notice, but I AM running Hammer in the New Year again this year. A few people had asked earlier and I originally said no but I decided to go for it anyway. We haven't had one in a while.
Date: January 11, 2013
Time: 11:00 am
Place: Game Parlor in Chantilly, VA
Cost: $12, due at event
Points: 1850
It'll be 3 rounds, 2 1/2 hours each with a break for lunch after the first round. Please try to be wysiwyg and no FW stuff. Painting is not required, but encouraged.
Please bring an extra copy of your army list for your opponents, you'll need 4 total. Prizes will be store credit and hammer trophies for best overall and best general.
There are only 12 slots this year. Space is first come, first serve. Sign up on this thread.

Missions will be similar to last year. Games will be won by scoring Game Points. Game Points can be earned by:
Scoring a Kill Point: 1 point each
Captured Quarter Objective: 2 points each
Captured Center Objective: 3 points
First Blood: 1 point
Slay the Warlord: 1 point
Linebreaker: 1 point
Game Points are used to determine your Battle Points.
If you have...
...half as many Game Points as opponent or less: 0 Battle Points
...3 fewer points than opponent: 2 points
...1 or 2 fewer points than opponent: 3 points
...tied opponent in points: 5 points
...1 or 2 more points than opponent: 7 points
...3 or more points than opponent: 8 points
...double or more points than opponent: 10 points
The person with the most Battle Points wins the game. Game Points and, if necessary, Victory Points will be used for tie-breaking purposes.
The Mysterious Objectives and Night Fighting special rules will be in effect for all rounds.
Deployment will vary for each round and there will be a special mission objective for each round that awards 2 bonus points if achieved.

Yeah none of that stuff. I haven't had a chance to comb through any of it, and I wouldn't expect any of you to do it either. Maybe next time.

If you could bring mats and a little terrain next week, I would appreciate it, but since there's not too many of you, I'm not in a dire need.
Hammer Trophies are nearly finished- you still have a week to sharpen your skills so you can win one of these surprisingly popular trophies!
There's still time to sign up. If you're not sure you can make it, feel free to show up day-of and I will have an opponent for you!

Yes, 40k. There is a Fantasy tournament sometime in Feb/March IIRC.
