Greetings All. We want to invite all interested players down to Culpeper for a fun filled day of Warhammer Fantasy. Comics and Gaming of Culpeper is hosting a Fantasy Event, tournament if you will, on Saturday, June 14. The event will allow players to play 3 games of Warhammer Fantasy and have a chance at winning awesome prizes and awards. Mark your calendars and make sure to come out and support the hobby. Spread the word! Details below.
What is it?: Warhammer Fantasy Tournament, 8th edition rules
What is allowed?: Any army produced by Games Workshop including Chaos Dwarfs of Tamurkhan. All Special Characters, including Belakor, are allowed within the legal percentage point limits.
What Size Army?: The Points limit for all armies is 2250 pts. Your army may not exceed 2250 pts. All Army Lists must be submitted on Army Builder (TM) Format. If you do not have Army Builder, there will be a print station at the store with Army Builder.
What's the Catch?: No Catch means no ENTRY FEE.
What's In it for Me?: Other than having some great fun with fellow gamers, Awards will be given out for the Best Overall Player and the Best Army General. There will be chances for raffles and door prizes all day long of the event.
What Else?: Armies DO NOT have to be painted in order to play, but painted armies will score higher for Overall. All models in the army must accurately represent the troop type they are intended for and cannot cause confusion to other players during game play.
All games will be timed, approximately 2.5 hours per game. Each game will be played using a map from the Basic Rule Book and a special scenario picked from many of the Games Workshop Scenarios of past Grand Tournaments/Games Days. Scoring will be based on Battle Points, Objective Points, Administrative Points, and Players Choice Votes.
Terrain...All Terrain will be preset and will remain as placed (static). No need to roll for amount or deployment of terrain. Wood Elves will get their "Free" Wood provided that it is no bigger than 6" diameter. All Water Features and Forests will be Mysterious Terrain and the Players involved will need to roll for such terrain appropriately. All other terrain features are normal. All Hills and Buildings block line of sight. Buildings are impassable terrain and cannot be garrisoned.

After party is a possibility. There is a Glory Days, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Chilis very nearby. The hotels are on the other side of town.
