The NOVAG Spring Game Day will be held on Saturday June 4, 2011 at the Centreville Library, 14200 Saint Germain Drive Centerville, VA 20121. (703) 830-2223. The doors will open at 10:00. Start time for individual games are listed in the Primary Events List below. There is no fee for playing. The library has its own parking lot and there is food available at the Centreville Square Shopping center directly across the street.
Directions are as follows: From 66W exit on Rout 29 East (turn left at exit). About 0.5 mi down 29 East turn right at light for Machen Road. Take immediate right on St. Germain Dr. and Library in immediately on your right.

Title: Otjosongombe: Last Stand of the Hereros (German South-West Africa, 1904)

Event Description:
Herero riflemen and assault forces occupy the deeply cut, dry riverbed of Otjosongombe Creek - a formidable, natural trench line! The Hereros hope to decimate the German column, and then withdraw without being routed. Event Description:
British flanking attack during the American Revolutionary War to dislodge the Americans from a formidable position along Brandywine Creek in Pennsylvania that was impeding the British march from the head of the Chesapeake Bay to Philadelphia. Rules are adaptation of Rich Hasenauer's Fire and Fury Rules to the AWI.

Event Description:
The Battle of Rivoli (14-15 January 1797) was a key victory in the French campaign in Italy against Austria. Napoleon Bonaparte's 23,000 Frenchmen defeated an attack of 28,000 Austrians under Feldzeugmeister Jozsef Alvinczi, ending Austria's fourth and final attempt to relieve the Siege of Mantua. Rivoli further demonstrated Napoleon's brilliance and led to French occupation of northern Italy. We will re-fight the initial three hours of combat (12 Turns) where the French barely held back the Austrian assault.
