I'm selling my Saturn Ion. I'm planning on taking it to a dealer, but I don't know anything about the process. Does anybody have some practical tips and/or recommendations on dealers in the area? _________________ Nassir Ahmad

Sorry. Last time I sold a car I went through cars.com and did it myself. Best I can tell you know know the KBB value and go from there. Unless the car is immaculate, assume they are going to treat it as poor condition. KBB has values for trade ins, private sales etc. _________________ Tone on the internet can be a bitch. I had great luck with Car Max in selling my old, beat up Accord two years ago. The KBB on it was $1,700 in "Excellent" condition but the thing had over 200,000 miles on it and the transmission was shot. Car Max gave me $2,500 for it and I skipped all the way to the bank.
They also give you some time to think it over, the offer the give you is good for 7 days. _________________ Chickhammer

Does Carmax pick up the vehicle, or do you have to drive it over there? _________________ Nassir Ahmad
