Located in Durham, North Carolina
Great place to place, has a bar in the game store. (Would have been nice last weekend to ease the pain from a Throgg beating)
Good group of players, I have gone to two of the NC tournaments and had a great time, they had a good number of players at NOVA.
It is a "Comp'd" tournament, over 60 signed up already

Bad weekend being right before Colonial, but I might have to go to a Training the weekend of the Colonial, in which case I'd be interested.
I'm playing with the comp pack now. Best general Tomb Kings is appealing. |

I have to stick around for the traditional Dragon Wars that weekend unless Bill does it a different weekend. _________________ Thanks,

So i find it interesting the ruling on the fact that SoM monsters do not count towards comp. That does save me some points in comp as my razorgors are in that book so that saves me 8 comp points. But I have a feeling that a lot of people will be taking 250 points of nastiness *cough*Great Chaos Spined Beast*cough* and savethemselves atleast 25 comp points in what else they could get for those 250 points. |

Would anyone mind telling me what are the rules for the Storm of Magic Giant? I'm thinking about going to GrailQuest, and I'm considering taking the Storm of Magic Giant as my monster that doesn't count against the Swedish Comp point system, but I don't own Storm of Magic, so I don't know the rules for this thing.

I like that list, not sure how it will play but i would seriously look into getting a lv 4 necro just to help with getting spells through and dispelling. |

Here is my list, looking for some feedback prior to submitting. Comps in at 11.1
Beastlord- Blackned Plate, Shield, Talisman of Endurance, Brass Clever, TOTS
Great Bray Shaman- Fencers Blades, Talisman of Pres, Channeling Staff, Iron Curse Icon, Lv4 Lore of Beasts
Bray Shaman- Power Scroll, Lv2 Lore of Beasts
Bray Shaman- Dispel Scroll, Lore of Shadows
Bray Shaman- Shard of the Herdstone, Lore of Shadows
Wargor- BSB, Light Armor, Shield, Gnarled Hide, The Beast Banner
Gor Herd- FC, AHW, 48x Gor
Tuskgor Chariot
Tuskgor Chariot
Ungor Raiders- 5x Ungor
Ungor Raiders- 5x Ungor
Bestigor Herd- FC, Totem of Rust, 34 x Bestigor
Razorgor
Razorgor
SoM Harpies- 5x Harpies, KB
SoM Harpies- 5x Harpies, KB
So I dropped 2 units of Raiders and Heavy Armor on my BSB for 8 Gor and 1 Bestigor and gained .2 points of comp. I just felt like i had too much chaff and my Gors felt light at 40.
Thoughts?? |

Yeah MORE Gors, def.
Comp doesn't matter unless you are able to bump it up to 0.5 because they round decimals to the nearest whole number.
By my count I see 6 chaff units plus 2 chariots. Some armies have hardly any. You use it well and it certainly helps you dictate your match ups. If it was my list I'd be tempted to drop a mage to fit in more Bestigors. They have so few attacks when not in a horde, but since they have GWs a horde requires a ton of models for survivability. You can only get 2 dice from the herdstone per the tournament special rules, so I feel 3-4 wizards is really diminishing your returns. YMMV |
