This is the monthly tournament they host at Huzzah. I've always had a good time when I go. I should be able to make it to this one.

Quote:
Just wanted to remind everyone that our monthly RTT at Huzzah hobbies is approaching this Sunday! Since NOVA season has ended for now, we will be switching to 2k, (1999+1) so no double FOC.

As always - registration starts at 10am, first game at 10:45. Entry is $15 and covers lunch. The rest is rolled directly into prize support. As usual we do not require any painting or fancing basing.

For those interested in proxying models, as long as you don't have any other models of that type in your army, and they have a passing resembelance to the models being proxied, proxies are O.K.

I went last month and the 1999+1 thing got in the way. The games all ran late. If they just did 1850 instead of trying to hang onto 5th edition, I think the event would have been more timely.

The few times I've done it at 2k they were all on time, though I was running deathwing lol.

1999+1 isn't a big deal. They just don't want 2 FOC shenanigans which I understand.

Anyway I'm going to try and make this one, gotta figure out what to take though!

That's the thing. Man up and do the double FOC if you want 2k points. Otherwise, don't play 2k.

Eh. I like 2k points, but I don't like 6 Helldrakes, 6-8 Riptides or 24 broadsides Razz

So I'm all for 1999+1

Additional Rules:

Please note, thanks to GW's lack of clarity, it is impossible to know if the tourney scene will be using escalation / fortification expansions. So until I see differently from Adepticon / NOVA, these books will be not allowed.

Differently though are the data slates. As these are essentially like the old white dwarf updates, for the time being they are allowed. THAT SAID, I am putting a hard limit on formations. ONLY ONE allowed per army. That's TOTAL ARMY, not once per detachment.

If anyone has any questions shoot me a text at [REDACTED]

Yes, I'm aware this is in essence instituting my own comp. I'm not happy about it either, but until the tourney community decides and we can follow the general consensus, we will be doing it this way.

Indeed. 1999+1 is lame.

I find that the game functions better at 1500 or 1850. It's enough points to get most of the toys you want, but not go too crazy, and you can finish a game in 2-3 hours.

Hey brother, it's been too long since we met on the battlefield. Let's do a warmup game for the tournament.

Just wanted to give people a heads up that next months RTT at huzzah is going to be 1850 to help prepare people for Adepticon. Escalation is out but Stronghold is in but has some exceptions. No AV15 fortification, no D-Weapons and no group buys (like an Imperial Strongpoint).

There was a great turn out yesterday as well! Lots of prizes for all, was kind of refreshing.
