Wife is filling up my calender pretty quickly. I am available on the 14/15th of June Rolling Eyes

Waiting on confirmation from the store for June 14. I know I had told some people Saturday, that it was June 6, but that is a Friday. My mistake.

June 14 it is. 2250 points of anything legal you want. Special characters are allowed. Painting not required, but will be worth points. Woods and water features are mysterious terrain and buildings are impassable. 3 games with random scenarios.

Sign up will be on their Facebook page closer to the event..end of April early May. Space will allow for 60 players. The finer details are in the works and will be posted once they are finalized. This I'd the start of our Own "Colonial" type event....finally

Just 3 games in a row. Just called a tournament is all. Some people approach it with stronger list, but people do it anyway, so you should play

I wanted 3000, but the store is new and is using this as a promotion to bring attention to the game and to let newbies get involved who haven't made that big investment like we have. Plus, we need to play in 2 hour rounds and I told Big Dawg that I don't travel for less than 2250, so I have to practice what I preach. LoL. Wink Laughing

I don't know how well I would do. I've only had one game of 8e, one game of 7e; and really not played before since 5e...

And I don't even think I've made a 2250 list before, whouldnt even know how to start lol

This is how I look at it. I am not much of a tournament player either. I don't like to run the same list multiple times, or even like to worry about how optimal my lists are. I generally just bring whatever I have most recently painted.

That said, I still enjoy going to tournaments, as the social side is fun. We have a good group of players that are fun to play with, even in the event that I get relegated to the bottom half of a tourney. It is a set of guaranteed games, and is fun to be around gamers for a day where you can discuss your armies' exploits and wild luck.

I would recommend coming along, and you may surprise yourself how much you like it!

Ok, I'll give it a go. I should have a choice between 2 armies to bring by then. June 14 is still a ways out, but I'll go ahead and throw my hat into the ring if I can make it. The date being that far off, my availability could change by then however.

Don't know how "painted" I'll be... But they should be primed at least lol!

Well
It is a 90 minute drive for da Big DAWG but someone needs to show you ladies how to play Warhammer, so I am going to pencil in this date for a nice road trip.
