I was just curious who else was thinking of going to NOVAOpen this year.

I am probably going to sign up for the Warhammer Age of Sigmar event. Anyone else thinking of going WAoS Or is planning to sign up for one of the other events or tournaments?

Cheers,

Eric

You might be the only one. Not just from our club, but at the fantasy GT.

Cool, then I'll finally have a chance of breaking the top 50% on battle points Very Happy

There was a survey that came out a few weeks ago asking people whether they would prefer 8th Ed, AoS, or some other option. It also asked people if they would be willing to volunteer to set up an event. At least according to the email I got, AoS was the top choice and that 6 people signed up to organize an AoS event.

I have no illusions about this event. I highly doubt that it will be a tournament-style event with rounds and Swiss pairings. I am sure that there will be rough edges and it may be awful. But I remain optomistic and open minded. My aspiration is that they design something more like the narrative 40k event that they ran last year, but honestly, I am open for anything. And I gather from the survey result that there are at least a few others out there that will consider giving it a try as well.

As far as rules and army composition, nothing has been posted yet. I expect given the timing it may not come out for another two weeks or month. My guess is that they may be looking for inspiration from the scenarios that are rumored to be coming out in the book release either this weekend or this month. But who knows, it might also be awesome Very Happy

Cheers,

Eric

I'll be going. I have literally no clue what I'll be doing there (since I haven't registered for a specific tournament or seminar), but I'll be there.

Looks like they finally released a players pack for AoS.

I plan on being there for Saturday and Sunday, and possibly part of Friday, schedule permitting, in case anyone else is planning on attending NOVA this year.

Cheers,

Eric

Looks like they did a really good job with AoS. I am tempted to give it a shot.

I think a 1-day NOVA convention pass is $20.

The AoS event is still $45 to my knowledge. I don't see a one-day price being available.
