The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is the world's largest fundraising event for breast cancer. It consists of a series of 5K runs and fitness walks. Their goals are to raise funds to fight against breast cancer, to raise awareness of the disease, to celebrate those who have survived breast cancer, and memorialize those who have not.
The races are five kilometer run/walks (5k) open to all, on USA Track and Field certified courses. The first race was run in Dallas, Texas in 1983, with 800 participants.[2] Today there are nearly 120 races worldwide.
Funds raised by the events help to support community outreach programs. The money supports local community breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment projects as well as the Komen Award and Research Grant Program

Starting the sign up now, I will in a couple of weeks start to post it around to the various other groups and in and about town. If your interested we will have space for 16 people. I will post more details in the next week but it will be three 2000pt games. All you need is a pink model (and a donation) to be able to join in on the fun! Also keep a look out for Baking for the Cure & Bidding for the Cure (I will start to collect donations now, i will start posting them on BT and Ebay soon after)
Scenarios will be a mixture of the basic scenarios in the book and the Clash for the Cure!

Tournament Information
DATE:5-21-2011 @1100
PRE-REQ: Everyone is Welcome; you must have a painted pink model in your army.
LOCATION: Game Parlor Chantilly
COST: Donations are $10 if you pre-register before 5-1-2011 $15 after & $20.00 at the door. However if you would like to donate more we are happy to oblige.
SEND TO: either give the money to me in person or scottmonsour@verizon.net in paypal. please send as a gift.
GAMES: 3 Total games, scenarios specifically written for the event.
ARMY INFORMATION:
2000pts Army lists; be sure to bring at least two legible copies (you know who you are)
Any current Warhammer Fantasy army book including DOW & Independent Chaos Dwarf list
Armies do not need to be painted except for the aforementioned pink model.
Awards:
Best General (Battle Points)
Best Single Pink Figure
Best Pink unit (model, artillery, regiment etc)
At the same time we will also be running Bake for the Cure & Bid for the Cure.
Bake for the Cure:
Bring your best baked goods in small sandwich bags labeled 25-50 cents.
Bid for the Cure:
We will be having a silent auction; we will be looking for donations
