Not a remake: a prequel. It's what happens in the Norwegian base before the events of the Carpenter film. _________________ Rush - Warpstone Pile

I didn't realize talkies were around when you were a kid!
I'm less thrilled about this remakequel. It seems to be a beat-by-beat remake of the first remake and I just don't see the point. I'm not against remakes as I think the Dawn of the Dead remake at least did something new, but I don't see the point in this. Unless the point is to redo awesome practical effects using computers and pissing me off |

That's part of the point. But the other part, as with all remakes and prequels, is to make MONEY! _________________ Nassir Ahmad

I prefer the original already. They're using way too much CGI in this. Sorry, but the effects in the original with the animatronics(?) just can't be beat. That movie is still creepy as well and WILL be watched again for Halloween! |

I didn't know The Thing was originally a black and white silent film.
That's pretty creative for the pre-Depression era.

The Thing, one of the great Halloween party movies ever. I once cooked a Thing turkey for a party, using crab legs, a turkey breast, mint jelly and cooking wax to hide the jelly in the meat.. looked totally gross and way awesome. _________________ "All is dust" |
