I'm new to 40K and would like to learn more about the game by playing some 500 point skirmishes. Would anyone like to play at George Mason University Fairfax Campus?
My only concerns are pinning a good date/time for such an event that would work for a bunch of people old and new to 40K, and ensuring we have enough tables. If you're familiar with GMU Fairfax, the best tables would be the rectangular ones in Student Union Building I (SUB I), but I believe they've been put away for the summer.

I recommend just coming down to the Game Parlor on Tuesday evenings or Saturday morning/afternoons. There's always somebody looking for a game, and we like new people.

I actually work at Mason and would be down for small games at some point. I might be able to put together something in my office in Innovation.

The Monday 27 August meetup is postponed due to unavailability of space for playing 40K.
We need to be more proactive with reserving space for a GMU meetup. Please reply now with full details if you are able to provide an on campus space for playing 40K games in future meetups:
Faculty/Staff: A largish office
On campus GMU students: A meeting room in your campus housing area
All GMU students: A Johnson Center meeting room or other large space
Also, we should be more proactive about dates and times we are able to come to any meetups.
I can play in the Fairfax/Chantilly area (including GMU and Game Parlor) on Mondays/Wednesdays from 3PM to 10PM, and Saturdays/Sundays from Noon to 10PM. My friend Sam can probably come with me to any meetups we have.
Until we can reserve GMU space, I'll look to Game Parlor meetups instead.
