To those of you with iPods or iPhones.
Anyone check out the army list things or any random dice rolling apps work? Any recommendations or ratings on any related app? Would you allow your opponent to use one? |

I've got no idea if it's fast enough to allow for smooth game play, but there's no way I would go for this in a game that counted. Rolling physical dice is part of the fun, and I wouldn't trust that the app wasn't hacked to give skewed results.
I could see using a laptop or something with a larger screen, so that both players could use the app. without too much hassle, but really, I think it's just not an efficient way to roll. Pun intended. _________________ There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs. |

I have the random dice rolling app on my iphone and it is pretty neat and quick when it comes to selecting how many d6s that you need to roll. However, when it comes to picking out what you needed, the screen is pretty small and it slows the game down when you try to convince your opponent of what you rolled (you look at it and then they look at it)...so, it really isn't worth it in the end. So...KISS. _________________ Thanks,

I know Jordan had a lot of the army books and rulebook pdf through ibook or whatever the ap is called. I have it, just haven't made a move on looking up the files. Makes it a lot easier than carrying around the books. Downloading the FAQs would rock as well. |
