The Colonial Independent Grand Tournament
Maximum number participant slots: 50 players per system
Where: Granite Run Mall : 1067 W Baltimore Pike, Media, PA 19063
Ticket Cost
Fantasy $50.00
40K $30.00
War machine $30.00
Registration :
To register you need to do the following 2 things:
1. please send payment thru paypal- Mayorofgametown@hotmail.com
2. send me an email at thecolonialgt@hotmail.com and tell me your name, army/faction and what system you are playing
If I do not receive both you will not be registered
Only players with a confirmed payment will appear on the master list of participants. Please check with the tournament organizer prior to payment after the deadline to ensure there is a slot available.
WHFB Rules 2014
Armies will be 2500 pts
This will be a 2 day event both May 31st and June 1st
Cost $50.00
The event will be 5 games 3 Saturday and 2 Sunday
Each player is responsible for providing:
• 7 copies of their army list, one for each opponent, one for yourself, one for check in to judges
• Any rule books or FAQs pertinent to their Army (you must provide the FAQ if quoting a rule from it)
• Dice, rulers, templates or markers necessary for playing
Armies must be fully painted ‐ no exceptions.
Yes, this includes flock and basing. Players can be removed from the event if they don’t conform to this rule, and will receive no refund if excused.
8th edition rules and latest GW errata and FAQs will be used. The word of the tournament judge is final if consultation is required by players to resolve rules questions. Judges are not responsible for having or providing FAQs.
Players are required to announce the lore they are using before the tournament begins, during army list submittal. You will stick to the lore throughout the event. Mark on the copy of your army list provided to judges at check in.
Terrain will be set up for each table prior to the game and left in place. There will be no random terrain rolled for each game. If terrain has to be moved, please return the terrain to its original state upon game completion. No mysterious terrain rolls. All buildings on the table are considered impassable, and units may not enter the buildings for any reason. They can be used to block line of sight. The Folding Fortress magic item can be taken but becomes an impassible building when placed.
Warhammer 40k Rules
Armies will be 1500 pts
This event will be a One day event held on Sat May 31st
Cost: $30.00

This event will be played in Highlander format rules are below:
Only one codex No allies, data slates, stronghold assault or escalation
Only one of any unit, this includes dedicated transports
Example: so if you are space marines you may have one rhino, a razor back, and a drop pod; it is the 41st millennia times are tough
You must follow the force organization chart with the following one exception:
There is no minimum requirement for troops
ALL UNITS SCORE AND DENY INCLUDING NON IMMOBLEIZED VECHICELS
Just to be clear if you by a tactical squad and a rhino both count as separate scoring units
If your Codex allows you to take multiple units for one choice than those units must also be different example: you may still have 4 heralds from chaos demons, but they must be one of each god
Units that do not normally score (swarms etc.) DO SCORE for this event.
Flyers and FMC’s(Flying monstrous creatures) only score in hover mode
No unit may be over 250 points
I am not requiring painted armies for this event but there will be a best painted award.

Cost $30.00
This will be a one day event on Sunday June 1st
This will be 35 pt steamrollers

Prizes
In addition to the normal coins for a steam roller I will be giving a 50 pt army to the overall winner of this event. There will also be other prizes for

The Colonial GT Scoring
Points that are generated during the tournament will be maintained by the judges. At the beginning of the event a score card will be given to each player to record their game progress. At the end of the game, it is the player's responsibility to ensure that a judge receives a score card after each game. Please record your score accurately to the judges, fill out the entire card; how many points you each scored, as well as the name of your opponent.

This is dumb. This is a dumb way to play. I'm fine with making everything scoring, but then you go out and make changes to that by saying no flyers can score unless in hover mode. I don't care if it doesn't make sense. Nothing in this game makes sense, its why we play it.
And this is a bastardization of all the highlander events I've heard about. Its supposed to be 1500 points no copies. Except in troops and only after you've taken one of every troop. Thats it. I really dislike how they just made their own format, which is terrible.
I really need to get my [censored] together so I can go to the De La Warr Open

It being on a Sunday sucks, too. Definitely not going to make it, even though I think the format is really interesting.
Edit- lol I can't read. Sunday is the Warmachine. Might think about going up for the 4ok now.

Hmmm....they opened it up for Fantasy. Special Characters and all. No restrictions except you better have the models and no unit fillers or crazy proxies.

Website? Where is the Masterlist being posted?
I tried the old one and got a no server found, not sure if it's just me and mine.
Who is going to this on the Fantasy side? I am not sure what competition I will be in a completely wide open forum, or what army to bring. Can someone say Belakor???.

Nope. Memorial Day week. Too much work so I can't get off if I still want to make Calabash and a northern trip to the dog pound. I'm out. 😫. Plus Culpeper s. event is closer, cheaper, and better odds of winning.

Just sent Mike an email about the website, special characters and such.
Afterwards I rechecked the date vs my calender.....I am already committed for the weekend 
Oh, well. Missing 1 tourney out of 9(or so) ain't bad. Hopefully they can settle on a date instead of all the recent moving around.
