1st- 50% of Tournament Entry Fees
2nd- 30% of Tournament Entry Fees
3rd- 20% of Tournament Entry Fees
Last Place- A New Dice Cube!!

Layout:
2500pts
No named Lords
Named Heroes are okay
Scenarios will be placed at tables at the beginning of each round

The Nagash book is official and allowed along with the changes to Lord and Hero allowances. All wizards may take the Lore of Undeath.

Forge World is not official for Fantasy yet, so will not be allowed in this tournament (if you've got an official data sheet from GW I'll take a look and make a ruling, but it's probably going to be no (just a warning))."

Game vault's events are very far from the tournament circuit. 1 Day events are what Gene and I do with our free time on weekends. It mainly involves us going and buying models with the money we take from people who do not properly read the rule book.

That's a lie. I win by losing games. It only works in Fredricksburg.

Ok so after speaking with Cathy today. I will be running this event but will not be the judge as I am also going to be playing in the event. I am just going to handle scenarios and keeping score. A store employee will judge.

To answer Gene's questions.

1. Magic system? - Normal or Khaine As not everyone might have a copy of Khaine magic rules we will be using normal rule
2. End of times armies allowed? (combined Chaos, Undead, or Elves)We will not be allowing enditmes armies. But will allow lore of Undeath as it is my understanding that it is FAQ to be in the new rules book.
3. Start time?Registration will begin at 10:30am First round will start promptly at 11:15am
4. Painting requirement?There is no painting requirement.
5. What scoring are you using for games?We will be using a scrolling system with the max of 20 points being allowed. For every 250 victory points or fraction there of that you beat your opponent by you will receive 1 point and they will receive 1 less. Example if Player 1 beats Player 2 by 250 victory points each player will get 10 points. But if Player 1 beats player 2 by 251 VP then Player 1 will get 11 and player 2 will get 9 and so on.

I will post a thread up later today with more expanded rules and possibly a link to a google document. Each round will be 2 hours and 30 minutes long or 6 turns which every comes first.

So now there is no End Times armies. Good thing we bother to read his forum....

Ben, I hope you weren't planning on bringing Warriors. Or Lizardmen or Deamons for that matter.

Michale Gatewood doesn't allow them at his tournaments...

Had a great time. It is awesome to see the event grow. I remember when there was only 4 people coming to these, now it's almost a full house. A nice mix of armies. I bet next time the event has potential to fill out the space.

Congrats to Phil B. for showing us how Tomb Kings is a broken army by winning consecutive events at GV. Wink

I was close on his boney heels, with Gene galloping just behind me.

From memory, I believe there were 2 TK armies, 2 Bretonnians, high elf, dark elf, WoC, Ogre army, Empire, chaos dwarfs, lizardmen, & Vampire Counts. Would have had some skaven armies if 2 guys hadn't backed out due to issues.

So who would I have to dpeak with in order to provide a schedule of which saturdays I am able to attend? I would love to go to these but every single one has been a Saturday I work.

Btw congrats Phil and everyone else who was there. Great to see the community grow even if I cant attend due to work.

You're not missing that much though, there isn't the same quality of competition as at the Huzzah Tournament.

The only GT caliber players there are ones from our club, and many of there guys are unpainted and don't know the finer nuances of their own army rules.
