Here is the team update for this tournament, please let me know if your status is changed. Committed means you have set the date aside and will be there unless something serious comes up to prevent you. Let us know as soon as you can if this happens as we will need to work out a replacement.

If you are listed as committed, then let me know the army so we can hash out the teams. If there is enough interest, we will try to form a third team and get it entered as well. I would like to get the teams worked out this week if at all possible.

If you are committed, you will be expected to show up to GPC at least twice a month for practice sessions. The cost will be about 100$, for the tournament, two CGL shirts and 20 CGL dice.

Committed

Gene (Orcs/Brets)
Phil B (Warriors)
Brad (DE)
Joey (DE)
Brandon (Ogre)
Ben (Beastmen)
Frank M (Ogre)
Corey (WE??) need to hear from you!

Possible

Kelly (HE)
Frank W (CD)

Willing practice opponents

Phil S
Eric

I am extremely excited about this format. It's very thought provoking for sure.

$100 is for dice and 2 shirts? Or does it include the tournament entry amount as well?

I wouldn't consider myself as a possible anymore because I have a wedding that weekend, but I do wish to continue tailoring/playing my list so I can provide some strong practice games for the playing teams and helping out any other way I can.

It looks like we have 8 teams now that are committed, although I thought Brad said he couldn't committ yet? Somewhere on these boards Andy said he is definitely in. Andy also has good Painting skills too(needs a display board though), if we need to put well painted players together.

as Far as Armies go I can also do Warriors(rather do DE or Daemon, but will take it for the team if it fits better) or Daemons if it rounds out a team well. For those who saw it, my Daemon display board does need a bit of work though Laughing

Trying to think out how to divide the teams...
First things first, can we have 2 teams in it? Or is IFL name needed (or are we allowed to use it)
Is everyone all to committ to Shirts and Dice purchases, maybe this help divide teams
Painting going to be a worry in our team composition?
Practicing players vs those with less time to matter in team makeup? Spread em out or group em together?
Available armies/play styles/available models, do any or all of these have influence?

Think we need to use the committed players and maybe divide into teams that have time to practice and those that don't have as much time to. That way one team will be well versed in the rules and such and we can assist the other team with little quirks and ideas as we find them while practicing.
Maybe just finalize who is committed, and we each email Gene with what we think teams should be and ideas on what makes em work, then Gene (Captain, and experienced ETC player)makes the call and let's get to playing!!!!

No idea what to do. Rolling Eyes

So now we have

Gene (Orcs/Brets)
Phil B (Warriors/TK)
Brad (DE)
Joey (DE)
Brandon (Ogre)
Ben (Beastmen)
Frank M (Ogre)
Rob (WE)
Andy (WE?)
Corey (WE/HE)

That's 10. I am assuming we can get 2 teams, I think we boycott the tourney if we can't. We were the largest club at the last two tourneys with 11 and 10, so we carry some clout.

So I need to hear if anyone is on this list who should not be, or if I missed anyone.

I have spoken with Brad, Brandon, Ben, Joey, Phil, and Frank. I need Andy, Rob, and Corey to post here or contact me if they want in and are willing to shell out the money for shirts, dice, and entry fee.

I don't want anyone to get left out if they want to be in this, but 8 is probably going to be the max we can take, so we are going to have to make a decision on who is on the teams. We can figure that out after we get commitments.

I will pay for a shirt. I have to double check tomorrow to see if I can get off those days.
I also could play: Empire, Chaos, High Elves, Orcs, Ogres.

On the shirts, not sure if I want writing on the back of a polo. To me, that's what T shirts are for.

I will be posting some polls in the coming days or so so we can all voice our opinion regarding the shirts.

Explain the length of the practice sessions please. If I can't make that commitment then I would be happy to assist in whatever other ways I can.

I think the practice session is just games where we play each other and talk out our own strategies with each other and maybe list suggestions to tweak.

We did have a practice session of 2 games against the Fowl team where we learned a lot about the intricacies of teams tournament play
