Agreed. Not sure why this wasn't just a blog post and had to be a video. |

Because that's what they do: videos. I don't think they have a text-based blog, just the YouTube one. _________________ Rush - Warpstone Pile

I agree, i didnt have an issue with his voice. As a retailer it might be noticed but its a huge paradigm shift for them that I dont see changing any time soon. Lots of companies are actually that way but he is correct in that those companies dont see what hits them as another one takes their place (just see how Blockbuster is doing now) _________________ Check out my blog

hehe @ blockbuster. Thats what they get for charging 3+ bux for twizzlers. Probably not on the same topic now but I was at GPC Tuesday and this guy was before me in line getting some Citadel white primer. He I guess had no idea that it was $15.00. The lady of course was like Woah, is that correct and the guy didnt buy it. At what point are these stores going to be talking their customers out of buying GW products. I had to refrain from telling him to go get $2 primer from Lowes and the quality is the same to my eye at least. $15 for spray paint...... |

spray paint is one of those things that you can buy from a different company. but the majority of GW's stuff is not like this... sure you can buy other companies and substitute stuff but GW's models just seems a step above the rest. _________________ been a long time since I have been on the forums |

For the most part but there is a lot of stuff that is getting close if not on par. A lot of the Reaper line are very nice especially for heroes and single models. Mantic orcs are very nice and so are their chaos dwarfs. There are other companys games that are fun to play who also have a good line of minis... _________________ Check out my blog

yea, Ive looked at the privateer press minis they are nice.
but for some strange reason I cant help but feel like GW has some kind of controll over my oppinion of other models.
I know that when I buy GW they are reliable kits that almost effortlessly turn out looking just as I invision they should. _________________ been a long time since I have been on the forums |

Privateer Press has some great looking models... but they've also got some real turds. Same with Wyrd. GW's got a consistency other companies have problems with.
Anyway: I swear by Duplicolor Sandable Primer that I buy from auto part stores. A can goes for something reasonable ($6? It's been a bit because it) , lasts forever while providing good coverage that doesn't obscure detail.
I stopped using GW primer when it stopped being primer and started being just paint. That was the impetus to finally try other stuff. _________________ Rush - Warpstone Pile
