Ooh, I thought Teclis was allowed and Thorek wasn't. I see I misread it. I guess Thorek is too expensive for such a small army so they don't have to ban him.
All I have to say is that they better nerf the chosen death star or that army will run away with it. Nobody else has points to really compete with that. _________________ Thanks,

I don't have a horse in the race, but I do not like it. People have adjusted to the rules as they are, and to arbitrarily make a huge change like that is unnecessary. Rulings on game situations is one thing. Changing core game mechanics should be reserved to gaming clubs and friends. _________________ Tone on the internet can be a bitch. I remember, Bill. And yes, it WAS a rule.
There are things wrong with 8th, but as a whole, it is a superior game. No need to move backwards. If they want it that way, wait until 9th and cross your fingers
*edit* not trying to be pissy, I just don't like major rules changes that drastically affect things. The fact that people don't play that way, except within Blob's play group, makes it tough to have even footing. As I said, it's fine to do this amongst friends, but to do that for a pay to play major tournament doesn't sit well with me. _________________ Tone on the internet can be a bitch. Since "True" line of sight is one of the stupid 8th ed rules I do not like I'm happy to try the old way again. _________________ High Elves 7th - 60-29-12.... 8th 16-6-2

It was discussed at this past Colonial with a pretty good reception, so it's up for a try this year at Blobs _________________ Thanks,

This is how I feel, as well. _________________ Rush - Warpstone Pile

Don't blame you not wanting to go on rule changes, you "Crippled Asshole" (new title until you get back on your feet) If y'er scared, just say so.
I don't mind the change to the line of sight rules as it makes more sense to me this way. They aren't really changing the rules in my opinion anyway, just making it easier to understand and to enforce. With true line of sight, I can see an Ogre over top of a handgunner anyway. This "tier" for line of sight just takes into consideration people's conversions of models. What if I modeled my Terrorghiest into a crawling position? What if my unit filler blocked the line of sight to my Black Knights? It just keeps down the loop holes and I think keeps with the line of sight as RAI from the book. I'm more concerned with the low points of the game...2200??? I don't have an army that small. _________________ Thanks,

The cannon has to see the ground it shoots at (10" from the back) is something that will be disputed. You need an alley to see the ground. Cannons will not have very many alley's to shoot as ground as 0 and therefore everything will block it. That is going to cause arguments.
I can see your spider
But you can't see where you want to lay the cannon ball.
But I can see the spider
Yea have fun with that. _________________ I lose cause I can |
