C-Note found this on Craigslist:

Quote:
Hobby Game Store - $35000

Hobby Game Store - for sale - Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40K, Flames of War, War Machine, Hordes, D&D books, Reaper minis, Malifaux, 200+ board games plus expansions, 100+ card games plus expansions, Magic, WOW CCG. Must purchase all for 70% off retail. Stock worth over $100,000 retail. Only serious inquiries please.

We don't know that it's GPC, but... the list of possible candidates isn't terribly long.

Thoughts?

Here's what I posted on Rush'z book of faces:

What are the game stores in the area?

Victory Comics
Game Parlor
Huzzah
Compleat Strategist
Hobby Works
Dream Wizards
Drop Zone Games

Any others?

Of those Hobby Works doesn't meet the criteria, Drop Zone just opened, Victory Comics seems to do gangbusters with MtG, Huzzah just moved to a bigger space. That leaves Compleat Strategist, Dream Wizards, and Game Parlor.

So, yeah. It's worrying!

I look up Warhammer a few times a week on Craigslist. I usually find good deals that are either good for me, or will turn a profit on eBay, and I found that today. So it's worrying.

Not that it proves anything, but searching for Warhammer in Baltimore doesn't bring that up. I imagine Dream Wizards would potentially post in both.

All clear! It's not the GPC.

pretty sure Huzzah doesnt have that much $$$ worth of stocked items. Plus like said earlier, they just relocated a few shops over in the same complex to a slightly larger store.

Huzzah doesn't have enough space for all that inventory in the current setup, and it's insanely unlikely they'll take away gaming space for shelf space. Especially considering that 9-29 will see every bit of space taken up for Magic. Magic is too big a cash cow for Huzzah for it to be going under. The active miniature gaming groups help as well.
