Has anyone downloaded these? I am considering the new WoC boom. Saving $5 may be what tips the scale. This stuff is getting crazy prices these days.[/i] _________________ Joey

Judging from all the responses this probably ain't so popular. I did download the WoC book and have to say i am liking it so far. Graphic are impressive to say the least. Lots of models with the 360 degree viewing. Still tweaking the the table of contents and the glossary to navigate. There are lots of related terms as well in the glossary which may save getting the rulebook out at the same time. _________________ Joey

I love PDF versions of the books. I don't love iPad only, and full price. They change their model, they may get a customer. _________________ Tone on the internet can be a bitch. Honest, I am not Nerd Raging. Well, maybe not. |

This. Until they do that, I'll continue to not buy anything but my army book. _________________ My Blog |

Why didn't they just make both Android and iOS at the same time? Oh wait! That would make too much sense...
But seriously, why is the price difference only $5 in favor of digital? I get that there are prices a company has to overcome, but if they're saving money from the ink, wood cover, and paper, doesn't that constitute a larger price disparity between the two mediums? |

Or it could be that they're two different platforms and, as a result, "at the same time" means "roughly twice the resources." _________________ Rush - Warpstone Pile

This is off subject, but to those of you who bought the book is a Chaos lord on dragon more possible than it use to be for a 2500 point game? It use to be to expensive to give any proper equipment. I'm also curious if this might reflect a trend for dragons going forward into other books... _________________ Gun control is leaving your demonsmith engineers close enough to re-roll the scatter on your artillery. |

Looks like it is 30 points cheaper. It is still insanely vulnerable due to the cannon rules.
For the cost of that dragon you can get a more effective Daemon Prince. _________________ Tone on the internet can be a bitch. Honest, I am not Nerd Raging. Well, maybe not. |

Phil, a lvl 4 on a Dragon give 25 pts for magic items. Not happening when a 2+ re-rollable, 5+ ward DP is more survivable. Pretty sure Dragon was still 330 pts.
Anyway back to digital books. I read from one of the reviews they will be updated with Erratas, but didnt see it written anywhere yet.
The $5 cheaper i guess was pre-release price, they are the same now.
Used it to write up a list last night. Getting better at navigating as i use it more. I feel there is more in it for sure, especially graphically, but it still seems it should be cheaper when there is no paper, ink, as well as shipping and such involved. But I do feel like a pioneer of sorts i guess. If it updates with errata info.....ok. _________________ Joey

Well the 40k ones seem to get updated with FAQ/Erratas a couple days before the actually release them on the GW site. Hopefully its like that for all of them, at least then it might be worth it. _________________ My Blog |

I completely understand why they didn't come out with them for multiple platforms at once from a budget perspective, but, as with all things, GW has left us completely in the dark about IF they are even going to do other versions.
It seems they will be (so the rumor mill turns) but we don't have anything concrete or even an idea of a timeline. This coupled with the fact that they are just as expensive as the print version leaves me very frustrated. _________________ Chickhammer

If/When they do make it for Android, they need to make sure they put in function for the "back" button on Android systems. It sounds strange, but that button is so useful. Tinkerhouse didn't do that with WarRoom, and it is super annoying. |
