Well after many weeks the 40K Escalation League is coming to an end. With well over 100 games played lets see how much you have learned.
Tournament Information
DATE: 2-26-2011
PRE-REQ: Member of the 40K Escalation League.
LOCATION: Game Parlor Chantilly
COST: $10 if you pre-register before 2-1-2011
$15 after & at the door.
BASIC RULES
Tournament rules & restrictions
No more than 1,750 points may be spent on the army using one standard Force Organization chart.
The Warhammer 40,000 5th Edition Rules will be used.
All models in an army must be at least be primed, this is the very bare minimum, fully painted armies will recieve a +20 point painting bonus
Weapons, wargear options and upgrades chosen from the army list must be shown on the majority of the models in a unit.
Conversions must be identifiable. If you are in any doubt about the validity of your conversion please ask me.
Scenery will be set up before the tourney and should not be moved or changed.
Special/Unique/Named Characters may be fielded.
Forge World/Imperial Armor units are not allowed, however players may still use their Forge World models to represent a unit from their codex
A printed army list is required for the judge and for each of your opponents.
In order to keep the tournament running on schedule, when time is called for a round, all player's must drop the dice and stop playing. Because of this, please be aware of the time left in the round and do not start a turn you cannot finish. A hard warning will be issued with 15 minutes remaining in the game. NO Game Turn shall be started after this warning is issued.
SCORING
20 total Battle Points possible per game
20 total Painting Points
10% of League Points added to total

2011 40K Escalation League Tourney Warmaster: Highest Battle Points. League Points for tie-breaker.
2011 40K Escalation League Winner: Highest League Points. Battle Points for tie-breaker.
2011 40K Escalation League Favorite Army: League Points for tie-breaker.
2011 40K Escalation League Favorite Player:League Points for tie-breaker.

SCHEDULE

11:00 - 11:30 Check-in and Setup
11:30 - 1:30 Game #1
1:30 - 2:30 Lunch
2:30 - 4:30 Game #2
4:30 - 4:45 Break
4:45 - 6:45 Game #3
6:45 - 10:00 Awards & Clean-up.
Playing the Tournament
Opponents are allocated randomly in the first round and from then using the swiss system All games end as described in the ending the game section of the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook
Game One
-Deployment using Spearhead
-Mission is Seize Ground
-Battle points for each objective held.
Game will be played with 5 objectives: each one held is worth 4 points Contested is worth 1
point.
Game Two
-Deployment using Dawn of war
-Mission is Capture and Control
-Battle points for each objective held.
Each objective held is worth 10 points Contested is worth 3 points.
Game Three:
-Deployment using Pitched Battle
-Mission is Annihilation
-Battle points for: difference in kill points
Kill points are equal: DRAW - 10
Difference is <= 3: W-13 L-7
Difference is <= 5: W-17 L-3

Thanks! Casey I have had a great time as well, we just need to keep the ball rolling 40K wise.
Well doesnt look like your going to miss anything, looks like due to lack of interest (not in 40K by any stretch of the imagination we are looking at close to 200+ games now) for a tournament I might just have the top 2 or 3 slug it out for the Movie.

Hmmmm, I need to get in a few more games.
Had I known it was going to be a more select group I would have maximized the 500 and 750 point games. |
