Never heard of that website before. Certainly wasn't looking there for scores.

Thanks Harry

Lack of a central place to find scores & results is the one biggest thing that drives me crazy. In writing up the event I keep running into things like not being able to find a picture of the Best In Show model, or the guy who painted it (who isn't "Dusty Rhodes" but is named kind of like it).

Shouldn't have to scour the internet to dredge up that info.

I could not agree more. NOVA was all about winning and very few players cared about the hobby. I only played against two players that actually cared about their models and their army composition. One guy had an all Khorne demon army. Another had a Relictors army he was playing using the Space Wolf rules. He had a typed sheet explaining the background of his army and some of his models were converted to show their use of captured chaos weapons. At GW tournaments this kind of stuff was expected. You could tell that most of the players there cared about the hobby aspect, took time to paint their miniatures and develop a background or theme for them (even naming units and characters), and transported their miniatures with care and love. I saw a lot of armies packed in boxes without foam, just tossed around. It made me cringe each time I saw one. This shift started in 5th, when it became easy to lopside your army with a bunch of transports and hardly any troops. You can still see that trend in the tournaments in 6th. I think we should all make it out personal mission to eradicate it and get back to the emphasis on the hobby, sportsmanship, and battle points.

That was the poor sap I played in round 4 after they had messed up my score and set me on table 60 or so Razz

I am not a fan of a comp score to be honest, it is a tourney. Now something I could get behind is a sportsmanship score (play nice), as some of you know I had a rather popular player get beaten by me and ended up throwing a bit of a hissy fit after the game, I would love to have a sportsmanship score be on there and if someone starts to get low scores in multiple games it is something the judges can look at as a reference on how that person acts.

Also, Riptides are good and all but they are not nearly the end all be all that they are made out to be. Point of fact, the only dude who really beat me down ran zero MCs and ran an all Eldar list, my close loss (was by 1 vp) and he ran two Riptides. Really it is no different than when a Daemon or CSM player runs multiple Princes or Greater Daemons.

Just saying.

Also thanks for setting up the tables man, I loved all the line of site blocking terrain and such. Great setups.

I was just following the NOVA pre-arrangement lay out as I was directed. But you are welcome. It was pretty cool to do. It was kind of neat to set up tables so many people got to play on. I'd never done that before.
