Doh! Looked right at it and didn't see the little red writing
Really shocked at the paint scores.
I thought Eric and Rob had better than mine. But I did think that mine was reasonable, just thought theirs should have been higher. Maybe flocking on the movement tray and a more elaborate display board made the difference?
Really pleased with my standing considering I took a Dragon and what would be a bad list(told by many, many people  ). Really felt I could have easily lost 2 more games than I did. Bad Choices by my opponents and one just had a generally bad grasp of the strategy of the game. Enjoyed my opponents, except one. It was a fun tournament even with the ETC rules and will definitely go again.

Wow.
Seriously though, congrats and props to everyone who did well! All in all, I had 5 solid games with great opponents and 3 games that I felt like I had a fighting chance.
Also, one of my 0-20 was against the guy who eventually won, so I'll chalk that one up to a good learning opportunity.

This is seriously why I never want to have paint scoring in any of my events. I seriously slapped paint and assembled my whole army together in less than a week and still scored higher than a lot of people and on par with some really nice paint jobs. 
By the way, Joey...next time ask Alex to show you his list...evidently HIS wasn't that good. Bust his balls and tell him you don't need him to bring your team scores down. Besides, that's what I'm here for.

| Yeah, I was genereally in good spirits until I saw my paint score was 3 points below a 'standard' paint job. So annoyed... |

Yeah, everybody liked my Tyranid ally....it's a Jabberslythe, bitch!
As I'm reading Ogres to get ready to make that my next army, I find that Maneaters can only have 2 special rules. So the guy who used poisoned attacks, sniper, and swift stride to pummel my ass was a little incorrect it now seems. Hmmmmm. That was huge.

I think paint scores are generally screwed up. I am totally down with having a painted army that is up to a standard I am happy with. However,
it bugs me a great deal when I see mine or someone else has has a decent painted army score lower that some piece of crap paint job. I agree with Ben
100%. The organizers should be realistic with themselves in knowing they will not have the time to do the work to judge that many armies.
