I can alway keep promoting Culpeper with its train station and air port.
I can always check with the local Holiday Inn about reserving one of their conference rooms. There is a local park on the Fredericksburg side of town that has a large Pavillion that is partially enclosed with a kitchen.
If its pitching a tent, then I can hold it at the Farm....but for all this, we still need tables, chairs, etc etc like Joey said.
Scooter ran Blob's Park up in Glenn Echo, Maryland. _________________ Thanks,

Ya, Blobs Park. I think the outdoor venue only works if it's covered over all the tables. Just in case of rain we don't want all our stuff getting wet. That's Blobs Park was pretty large and well covered. Just a thought, as the price may be right for such a place, and if a grill was available Hot dogs would be easy to do _________________ Joey

Gene,
Maybe we should take some of the scenario's from Buckeye Battles and incorporate them into our games. Has anyone else seen the Scenario Pack? |

I think we push for indoors, even if it means Martinsburg WVA
If we do outdoors, wouldn't we need to pack up everything Saturday and set it back up on Sunday morning. and very cold or hot days could be a problem
If we can find something fairly cheap in Fredericksburg I would be for that, otherwise Culpeper or Martinsburg
Ben, How many tables can the place in Culpeper handle? _________________ Visit my youtube channel - WarGaming from the Balcony

I also looked into the enclosed tents like at a wedding...damn! Had no idea they were that expensive.
I will call the Holiday Inn and find out the size rooms that they have available and what comes with it.
The Pavillion comes with the 10 picnic tables outside and several tables inside. It's a big place, but food would have to be catered or something. There is a general store that sells hot food just down the road, but it may not suit "city-folk". It is on a Civil War battle site with cannons if that is a selling point. LOL.
I'll check the hotels. _________________ Thanks,
