MTG?

Anybody trying to dust off ye old magic cards? I may look for some casual games at GP today, but if anybody wants to come over this evening I picture it being a lot of fun.

Not trying. I have them with me every week, but only play a couple games a week, if that. Having played it since '93, I have given up the pursuit of keeping current. You think GW is expensive? Try M:tG for Standard and keeping current with the power cards.

Yeah... i was part of the tournament scene for a while... I shudder at the memory.

terrible process it is... have to buy all new cards every 3 months if you want to stay competitive.

i fear you both misunderstand me, i am not talking type 2 or tournaments. I'm talking about dusting off what you have, and see what kind of fun there may be. I never could get down with competitive magic, its ridiculous that money can give someone so much of an edge in that scene.

But, i know that John already knows I run craw giants because they amuse me.....

I wasn't implying you were trying to play competitive, Phil. it was more of a comment about why I only play so much anymore.

If you want to play sometime, I have a couple of random decks (including my "It's All Good Stuff" multi-player deck).

Well... i have a box of decks in my car at any given time. Though most people find these days im rather... spotty on when work will allow me to show up.

I've met that deck, and enjoyed playing cards with you. I've a friend coming over tonight, anybody else that wants to bring random decks and stop by is welcome. PM me a number and I'll text you my address.
