Hey Bill...what about inate abilities that cause multiple wounds such as a carnosaur or a giant's thump with club? Those are not affected as they are nonmagical and during combat, correct ?

I think it's unreasonable that some unit abilities should insta-kill them while other unit abilities don't just because somewhere in the fluff the word "magic" shows up. (Though, on checking, nothing in the Thundertusk entry says "magic," just "unnatural".)

But then, I think that with all of this insta-kill stuff, we're passing beyond "It's hard to kill a Dragon" and into the realm of "Who needs tactics? let's just roll dice until we call someone's dragon dead."

maybe the insta kill is a bit overboard, let's change that to all area effects caused by any thing other than a spell being cast, do not affect the dragon.

Sounds good to me. On my other question, so I roll a thump with club against a dragon and it only does 1 wound instead of the 2d6? Did he use a club or a switch??? Wink Razz I'm giving you that sideways look of "are you sure?" Wink Laughing So, basically what you're saying is that you can't cause multiple wounds to the dragon with a single attack/hit regardless of its source. Roger that.

think of it as if you hit me, it would hurt a little but not much, but if you hit a child you would do multiple wounds Razz

That's a lot more reasonable.

Nothing a little dragon fire can't clear up. Also, my list is a little bit funnier open...

I know it's closed, because I distinctly remember Bill mocking me for mocking him for the closed list format.

Because that's what I do: mock the closed list format because Fantasy is chess and 40K is checkers. Smile
